Located 2km from the campsite, this little harbour is well worth a visit!

Take the coastal path, past the Tour des Anglais (former lighthouse) and you’ll arrive in front of the small Chuch of Saint Pierre (patron saint of fishermen), in front of the port office.

Alone or with your family, you can fish for smelts for your evening fry-up.

There are 6 oyster farms, all of which sells their produce on-site..

Our suggestion: go at sunset and order some oysters at Dufreche oyster bar. Experience a magical, unforgettable moment.

Rochefort-en-Terre

This small city of character, listed “one of the most beautiful villages of France”, boasts a castle, fortifications and several old buildings listed as historic monuments. You can enjoy a stroll around the cobbled streets ablaze with flowers.

Our suggestion: if you are lucky enough to be in Morbihan at the end of the year, visiting Rochefort-en-Terre is a must. From the very first glance, you will plunge into the magic of Christmas (video of the magic of Christmas). And to top it all, La Plage campsite is open and welcomes you with open arms.

Domain of Suscinio: “Discover the domain”, a guided tour which will take you on a path around the walls of the park. You will learn of its prestigious past and popularity with the Dukes of Brittany whilst hearing of its natural heritage.

Carnac’s standing stones: Visit the largest megalithic site in the world, a major site of European history.

Animal Parks

La Plage campsite is ideally located for visiting a number of sites within a few miles of the campsite. Here are a few examples:

• Branféré wildlife and botanical park at Guerno (25mins): over 1000 animals living in semi-freedom representing all 5 continents + Nicolas Hulot school + Training programmes + “Parcabout”, incredible tree-top bouncy nets, 15m above ground level.
• Océarium in Le Croisic (1h)
• Prehistory Park in Malansac (40min)
